Resolution In Memory of
Erica Blake Washington
WHEREAS, IT IS WITH PROFOUND SORROW, the officers and members of the National Association of University Women, Suburban Philadelphia Branch, record the death of one of our beloved members, Erica Blake Washington, which occurred on March 6, 2021; and
WHEREAS, It has pleased Almighty God in His infinite wisdom, mercy and grace to take from our midst our sister, Erica Blake Washington; and
WHEREAS, Erica was an active member of the Suburban Branch of the National Association of University Women
WHEREAS, Erica served on the Literacy Committee, tutoring and reading to elementary school children; and
WHEREAS, Erica played a vital role in the annual production of the NAUW African American History Month Oratorical Competition, often taking photos during the event; and
WHEREAS, Erica successfully served as Recording Secretary for the Suburban Philadelphia Branch from 2014-2018, and
WHEREAS, Erica was a loyal, active supporter of the mission and all activities of the Suburban Branch of NAUW; and
WHEREAS, Erica was a sweet person who loved people and with a pleasant demeanor
showed her affection and love for God’s people;
BE IT RESOLVED, we, the officers and members of The National Association of University Women, Suburban Philadelphia Branch, place on record our love and esteem for the life and labor shown in the interest of our organization; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that though her presence will be greatly missed by her loved ones and friends, that we accept the submission to God’s will;
